“Crimzon Communications have shown their support to non-league football club Spennymoor Town FC by becoming a major sponsor of the club. Spennymoor are a local team to our north east office and are a former club of our northern representative Craig Shields who has recently retired from a long career in semi-professional football.
Spennymoor, play in the Ebac Northern League which is the world’s second oldest football league and have just come off the back of the clubs most successful season finishing FA Vase winners at Wembley stadium as well as a host of domestic success. Spennymoor have big ambitions to climb the football pyramid and unfortunately became victims of their own success last season with their long cup runs having a big impact on them missing out on the league title and promotion to rivals Darlington 1883 FC who were re-born from ex-football league club Darlington FC following liquidation the previous season.
Promotion is the main aim this season and Spennymoor are still fighting on this front sitting in a good position in the league and still in all domestic cup competitions despite the disappointment of being knocked out of the FA Carlsberg Vase by local rivals Newcastle Benfield FC. So with dreams of a consecutive Wembley appearance dashed the Crimzon team are wishing Spennymoor the best of luck in their bid to regain the league title and with it promotion to the next step of the FA pyramid”
